This technique does exactly
as its name suggests – it spans the gap and replaces the missing
teeth with carefully created matching porcelain teeth, which are fixed
in place by attaching the porcelain teeth to the teeth each side of
the missing tooth. This solution can look as natural as your existing
teeth and can be virtually indistinguishable from them. Often because
of the shrinkage that occurs with tooth removal to improve the cosmetic
appearance a small gum graft is placed prior to the bridge so that
it appears the new tooth doesn’t just sit on the gum but comes
out of it.
Patient Comments
“Paul has looked after my teeth superbly. After an unfortunate accident
I went to Paul under the impression that my teeth couldn’t be improved.
Following a gum graft and a new bridge my teeth are now sensational – I
love my new smile and tell everyone about Paul and the team at st.ann's” Mrs
