Change your metal ceramic
old crowns for new all porcelain ones
Revolutionary CAD/CAM technology
(computer aided design – computer aided machining) allows all
porcelain crowns to be constructed so that they are thinner than their
traditional metal counterparts but still as strong making a porcelain
crown unnoticeable.
This technology involves optical scanning of the
tooth model and the computerised manufacture of the all ceramic core,
ready for the application of the final porcelain layer by the dental
technician. The porcelain crown has natural opalescence and fluorescence
and mimics the natural tooth under all lighting conditions (including
night clubs) and without the tell-tale black line and opaque bulbous
look of metal ceramic crowns.
Patient Comments
“I chose Paul Tipton carefully, going on a word-of-mouth recommendation.
I wanted top class treatment so I chose a top dentist with a good
eye for detail and lots of patience. I didn’t want an artificial-white
smile and a lot of time was spent choosing an exact shade of white
to look natural. Great attention to detail was also given to the shape
of my teeth and smile line. Once treatment was finished one of St
Ann’s excellent hygienists continues to keep my teeth attractive.
As a teacher I know that a professionally enhanced smile is a great
success when your teeth are admired by young teenagers! Skilful, patient
dentistry is my best anti-ageing treatment”. Mrs L. J.
