What are Fillers?

Fillers are products used to replace lost tissue volume, to fill lines, folds, wrinkles and to augment lips and cheeks.

There are many types of facial filler available and the more popular ones are made from Hyaluronic Acid and are non-animal in origin.  This is a substance naturally occurring in the skin, the function of which is to hydrate the skin.  They are also suitable for naso labial lines, marionette lines, peri oral lines (lipstick lines), forehead lines and smile lines.

Hyaluronic fillers are well tolerated by the tissues and biodegrades naturally.

The procedure takes approximately 30 minutes and the effects are seen immediately and generally lasts 6-9 months.
